Hello guys,

So now that my parents have their chickens settled, I got some pigeons and need an idea of how to move the coop. It needs to be moved about 300ft over flat but somewhat uneven ground. Any ideas? It’s a 4x8 but well built and extremely heavy

Search you tube, "best way to move a shed". You use 2 x 4's and pipe or PVC. It's not real hard to do, you will need 3 people to make it easier, but 2 could do it. I recently moved this the same way, from our sons neighbor to their yard, about the same distance.

It doesn’t have a base like a shed though as it’s on four legs. I’ll look into this bobcat with forks

Build a temporary base. Add some 2x4 around the bottom on all four sides. Make sure the posts do not stick out below the new base. Then use the method mentioned above.

It already has 2 x 4's on the short sides, but you could add another piece on the inside, if you think it would need it, to support it better. I don't know how well those 2 x's are attached. There's no need to have 2 x's on the long sides, to move this.

The method I had pictured was using three or four pieces of pipe to roll it on. Move the one in the back to the front as you go. It would be much easier to that if you had the boards on the long side versus the short side.

Wow, I feel stupid lol. I do have a question. If I pull with my truck, it has to go uphill a bit and the ground isn’t 100% level, will that be an issue?
