My incubator (Little Giant with turner and fan) started to drop temp and I cant get it to work, I have heat lamp on it right now? But 5 days is a long time to sit next to it without sleep turning that heat lamp on and off.

make a home incubator quickly theres a section about them on top of this section also my byc page shows mine. My coast about $20

If you can't fix it sometimes people have to order parts thats all

I agree, make one! Mine is a small cooler with a chicken wire bottom and a lightbulb and thermometer that measures humidity... piece of cake.

Oh dear. If it happened to me I might try. . .

1) a heating pad. Put it in the incubator either under or over the eggs.

2) a 60 or 75 watt lightbulb on a cord that could be put inside the incubator.

3) keep the heat lamp over it tonight. Would have to remove the lid and let the heat reach the eggs. Then go to TSC first thing in the morning to get a new incubator. Fill water wells and heat it up, then transfer the eggs.

Not sure why you would need to turn the lamp on and off if you can get it hovering above the eggs, maintaining a steady temperature around 100 at egg level.

ETA: You might want a wet towel circling the eggs while under the heat lamp to help with creating some humidity.

It will be interesting to see what others would do. Best wishes!
