HELP MY BABIES!

You can put some pellets in a bag and take a hammer to it to break them up into smaller pieces.
Get a temperature of the brooder.
I have a feeling that too small of a brooder plus a heat lamp equals too hot.
 
I thought perhaps the OP was talking about pelleted wood bedding rather than pelleted food.
So sorry your chick died but we need more information to be able to help you. You are clearly able to post photos since you already posted one, but can you click full image rather than thumbnail, so that it blows up when we click on it and we can then see some detail. Seeing a photo of your coop/brooder would also help us to know what might be going wrong. It may be too much heat or coccidiosis or pasty butt or a respiratory infection or any number of other things. What do you feed them.... brand and name of product would help. If you are feeding them anything other than a crumble or soaked/smashed pellet, they will need grit, so that could be the issue. How many other chicks do you have left?
