Washed her with cat flea and tick shampoo as suggested by the Vet, trimmed around rear quarters and blew her dry. . . but I noticed she had a few that are in the anus region I can't get to. I smeared antibiotic ointment over everything. How can I get rid of the ones that are hiding in there?

She is a lame bunny and can't move her spine correctly, so when she poops, it kind of falls over her fur and into the cage. I have never had this happen before. . . and she's my favorite bunny. Please help!

This is not what you want to hear, but if the maggots have gone internally, please destroy the animal. You cannot and will not be able to stop the process if you see them "popping in and out". They will slowly kill her ... it is a painful death. Please do not do this to your animal. Flystrike is only treatable if the maggots stay on the outside of the bunny. Sorry. Have seen it at the clinic, have experienced it in the rabbitry.

you might want to get some more antibotics for your bunny. that may/or maynot save her. if you see it intenal anus area., then its already inside her. you might have to put her out of her pain.

sorry you have to do this.

If you have a bottle of ivomec (or can get one) use a syringe to soak the area.
