HELP! My chick is sick!

Hi All,

I think my 1 week old chick is sick. She keeps opening and closing her mouth as if she is having a hard time breathing. She is also intermittently jerking her body like she is heckup-ing.

I checked the inside of her mouth.. no obstructions.

Do you think she has a cold? Your thoughts?? Remedies??

I am sad to say that I have had 2 chicks do that and they both died within 2 days. I have no idea what to tell you to do. Try posting in the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures catagory and someone may be able to help you. Good luck!
