Help! My chicken ate my diamond earring!

Personally, I only give my chickens a bowl of diamonds to serve as their grit. They are very pampered birds and with diamond being such a hard material, there's nothing they can't grind up after eating. I'm considering gold plating their beaks as well.

My chicken did the same thing yesterday, and I was wondering if you ever found your earring and how your chicken ended up?

Joking aside, I think there's little chance a fully grown chicken will have much danger from this. Jewelry uses soft metals that would easily get beat up in the gizzard. As long as the pointed tip doesn't scratch on the way down (and with it being so small, I doubt it'd be a serious scratch) then the gizzard should take care of it. I don't think you should expect it to come out the other end though, at least not in one piece.

This is what I was wondering and looked into it and it could just hang out in the gizzard, so maybe when the chicken passes I’ll get it back.
