It most likely is fine then. Medical bandages do not have unsafe chemicals in them because they are wrapped around human wounds, usually puncture wounds. Can you post a picture of the box or the medical bandage?I'm not completely sure but is doesn't feel really waxing.
It think she will be fine. My duck has eaten insulation, plastics, styrofoam, you name it and he is still alive. Although I would encourage your chicken to have some grit to break it down.
