If the cracked egg is chirping, it has pipped. It should hatch.
Next time don't bother with the chick feed. They don't need to eat for the first 48-72 hours and when they do mom will get up and show them the ropes. The other hens will eat it instead. I always move my chicks and hen to a stock tank to keep them corralled. I would loose all of them as I use chainlink on my run plus I feed them a different diet.

so far the chick that was hatching yesterday is alive and happy and another chick has started to work its way out of the shell. Thanks for all the help.
