well I tried only ointment last light and in the morning I checked on her. She was picking at her feathers and there was some blood on the towel...I think she was picking at the wound. Ihad left a night light on so she could get up and find her food/water...when I turned it off she stopped and layed down....I've kept it mostly dark so she would rest. I guess the night light idea is out.
