Hi, I need some advice ASAP about one of my rouen duck eggs that’s pipping down towards the incubators floor. I don’t know how he’s going to get out of his egg if he’s is pipping downwards. Is this ok or do I need to turn him over? I have 9 eggs and all of them started pipping yesterday on day 25. They’re lying down flat with out and kind of support in a Hova-Bator.
I also noticed a strange mark on one of my eggs a few days ago before they started pipping. I will attach a picture. Please let me know if I should be concerned or not. Thank you so much

A picture would be helpful, but, Yes you'll want to reposition the egg back up if he is pipping against the floor of the Bator, I lay down window screen right before hatch so the eggs don't roll around so much. I'd like to see a picture of the egg with a mark on it too.

How does window screen help them not to roll?
If I open the incubator will it hurt the other eggs? What it the ideal position I should put him in? Also should I spread all of the eggs out a little without moving their pipping position? Most of them are all touching each other.

By proving traction, an egg is going to roll a lot more on a smooth hardwood floor than a carpet. As long as you don't rapidly move the eggs around and get the humidity back up to where it is you should be fine, lay them on their side, you can spread them out a little not sure if it matters though.

Thank you for the reply. I’m still trying to figure out how to reply properly. I’m new and I’m terrible with technology! Lol
