You are right. Thank you for all of your advice. I won’t touch them anymore.I'm not sure, she may have broken a vein when she pipped. I suggest you leave the eggs alone and set them back in the incubator, ducks are slow hatchers, I know how stressful it is for you, but they need to go at their own pace right now.
Here is a picture of the egg I said looked burnt. I’m not messing with it or the other ones.I'm not sure, she may have broken a vein when she pipped. I’m sorry to keep bothering you! I just want to make sure I’m doing everything correctly. Do the eggs actually hatch on the 28th day or does it usually take 24-48hrs starting on the 28th? Can you tell how advanced they are by their pipping?I'm not sure, she may have broken a vein when she pipped. No problem! I’m so grateful for all of your wisdom your sharing with me.Sorry got busy, Rouens usually hatch (are out of the shell) on the 28th day of incubation, although how long they have been stored will make a difference, or if your temp has been running a tad cold they may take longer, also incubation starts 24 hours after you set them in the incubator. All the pips look normal, and the membranes look perfect.![]()
