My 10 week old duck seems to be having seizure like activity. She's been like this for about 3 to 4 days. Doing research I thought that she may have a niacin deficiency I took her to the vet she gave her a shot of vitamin B and gave her a prescription for doxycyclinethinking that it could be botulism. I've given her 2 doses of the antibiotic alreadyalthough she continues to have seizures.can anybody tell me any common illnesses or diseases in waterfowl? does anybody else have any ideas of what this might be? I feel so bad for her I separated her from her other two friends who are acting normal so when she does have seizures she won't hurt anybody I have her in a pack and play so she doesn't hurt herself.she has had 10 seizures in the past 24 hours lasting only seconds long. when she does have a seizure for wings start flapping uncontrollably her neck goes back and her eyes flicker. her whole body shakes. She doesn't seem to be eating however she is drinking. Her poop is green and watery. Any help or advice would be appreciated thank you for reading my post

Is your duckling crested? alot of times when a duckling is having neurological issues it is a niacin dif. look up limber neck that will give you an idea if it's botulism. Have you checked around outside to see if there is anything she could have gotten into? seems the others maybe showing symptoms though. and what breed is your duckling? Here is some threads on seizures you may glean some info that may help I'm just not sure. https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=ducklings+and+seizures+

Here's a picture not sure the breed. I keep them in a kennel. They have no free range time. So I don't think they got into anything.

Seizures can be caused by a wide variety of causes, nutritional, metabolic, toxics, infections, trauma, neoplasma, and genetic factors. Best would be a visit to a vet, otherwise, one would need much more info before even guessing a cause.

Dark brown? Khaki Campbell most likely.
Not sure if this will work but this is a video my husband took for me while I was at work to give you an idea of what's going on
That was hard to watch, did the vet have any idea besides the vitamin dif? I wish I knew but I just don't know unless it's some kind of brain defect. something that may not be working just right like electrical impulses aren't meeting right. Are you giving her any niacin other than the B shot she got? Maybe some good poultry vitamins along with extra B complex or niacin at 10 weeks 200mgs would be safe. Hopefully someone else can help give some ideas.

She is being treated for botulism but doing research it says she should be dead within 24 to 48 hours its been 4 days already. She also thinks it may be Pasteurella. I have not given her any other vitamins or niacin, as I'm not sure of the dosage or how to give it so any help would be appreciated.

Don't think it's botulism and am sure it's not cholera....the seizure is similar to cholera....but they only have 1 seizure.

Wait. Did the shot include niacin, or was it a B12 shot?

Has she been given any niacin? Since that is so linked to neurological development, I would get 150 mg in each gallon of drinking water to her starting right now, and do this for 6 to 8 weeks.
