Help my duck is having seizures!!!

Just go slow with syringe feeding you don’t want it down the wrong hatch. Will she drink? Try giving her some feed made into a soupy mix in a bowl and see if she’ll drink it. You maybe able to add her liquid B in it and get it into her that way just enough feed and water so she gets her whole 1 ml of b complex. Is a vet an option?

Oh, YES they are on a flock raiser crumble. I'm saying today we noticed she will not eat. I have given her 1 ml of Vit B and she just looks like shes in a daze. She did play in the pool, but she won't eat. We will mix her food with water and syringe it in then. I am hoping she comes out of this!!

THanks for your advice!!
And make sure it is B Complex, not B vitamins for poultry and it is an easy mistake to make. My feed store has the “injectable” b complex for cattle and a b vitamin for poultry that has a screw top so I bought that thinking it would be easier to use but it doesn’t have niacin!

So after 3 days of seizuring, she had 6 one day, 7 the next, then 3... she is back to eating, dabbling, etc. We increased her niacin, gave her a little blackstrap molassas in her food, and gave her vit b. She improved little by little. It's crazy! Almost like she injested something that made her throat swell? or toungue? The one day that she kept seizuring, we thought we would have to put her down. THey are amazing little animals. One of our other ducks walked with her side by side showing her how to dabble and where the water was. She was like a nurse. Now that that is over, now a different one has bumblefoot and is limping! I guess that is what happens. One thing after another.

Keep up the B complex that is the best for when one is having symptoms already. Sounds like she is recovering that is awesome. And love the visual of the little nurse duck staying with her.:love as for bumble join the group, I just had one on one of my Runners and still working on one of my chickens with it.

I am experiencing this exact behaviour in my 9 week old Cayuga named Happy. After reading this thread, I now have b complex from my local tsc. I already have her on vitamins in her water, and I have switched from dumor to purina. I was told that tsc employees are told not to feed the ducklings Dumor brand. Her daily treats are fresh peas, kale, and arugula in a rotation. She’s just had her first dose. And now she giving me the stink eye. We thank you all for the info provided here. Will keep this updated with her progression.

Only 2 seizures since dosing her with b complex.
