My four month old duck has been acting weird, first he would put his butt in the air looking unbalanced at first I thought he might have an egg stuck inside so I put him in a warm bath but nothing happened but 5 days ago I noticed that he stopped walking completely he had his feet in front of him and has seizures like moments where he expands his neck downwards and he’s stays like that for a couple of seconds and does it a couple of other times. I thought it was niacin deficiency maybe it is and I’m just doing it wrong but he still the same he wobbles around and uses his wings to move around I’m not sure what to do now if anyone has advice or a clue on what he has please help me

Okay, question, are we talking about a female or male duck? Males don't lay eggs.
How old is this duck?

I havnt heard of behavior quite like that, a few questions that may help someone with more knowledge than me on this.

do you know the gender yet? Female Ducks usually start laying at five or six months old, if it is four months I would doubt it has having an egg related problem, though it still could be possible. And from what I know on niacin it mostly affects physical development, most noticeably legs. What is it being fed if your thinking it’s a nutritional problem?

He’s 4 months I’m wasn’t sure if he is a male but I recently saw his thingy but I just said that so I can just say what I did

I believe he is a male I do believe it’s lack of niacin It’s my first time caring for a duck I did my research but I believe I missed about the need of niacin

I changed his a diet from fuits and oatmeal to actual duck food when I noticed his difference in behavior

What is its enclosure like? what type of bedding? what are you feeding? what at the temps? water access?

is it eating and drinking and otherwise acting normal, just having these seizure-like behaviours intermittently? how often does this happen?

If it's not already inside, you should bring it inside someplace warm and low-light and non-stressful (like a bathroom) give it something soft to rest on like a pile of towels

I have him inside, he was free ranged inside and out, his diet was fruits and oatmeal, has water access, still eating and drinking, like seizures happens often when startled and I’ll put him in the bathroom right now
