Hello, I have two female Pekin ducks, I have had them since duckling they have gotten along nicely until now, one is more dominant than the other and in the pool she will get on top of the other one and “mate” I have read this is a dominant thing so I have just ignore it but now they will start to bite and peck and wrestle with each other and I really want them to be ok and happy so what can I do? Will maybe adding another duck or maybe a chicken help? PLEASE HELP:bow:hit

Are they actually hurting each other? Are there missing feathers? Is there blood? Does one try and hide from the other? Does one prevent the other from eating or drinking?
Before they never liked being away from each other but now when they walk around my yard they are not together. Sometimes the non-dominant one can not be in the pool with the other because the dominant one will kick her out, the back of the non-dominant ones head their is a scab and no feathers(this is where the other one latches on when it “mates”) but the dont hide from each other the non dominant one just takes the bullying Which breaks my heart

My 2 drakes fight over the pool, but never get as rough as your girls. Well once they did, I picked up the aggressor (which he hates) and separated them until the non dominant one was done in the pool. They've been less rough since then.

Yes I have done that too, but they still fight
