Help! My early bird in the bator is a bully!!!!

I've got 2 out so far, the first born is pecking the he!! out of a chick that just hatched! The newest chick obviously doesn't like it either, she tries to stumble out of the way just to be followed! What should I do! I know the bully must be doing this out of hunger....but I still have 11 to hatch!!

Well .. I have never hatched eggs in a bator myself. I let nature take it's course, and let my hens have their way. Usually momma hen tends to any peckin' and such.
But I would try to keep bully britches from pecking the sweetie. maybe a partition or something until the others hatch.

Do you have their brooder set up yet.?

just take the pecking one out. it is no big deal to open the bator for just a bit. just take him out quickly and put him in ur brooder
