We bought chicks from Tractor Supply a couple days ago. Two were a variety that begin with the letter “A” and ended with “link” (so I’m assuming they are a type of sex link.) They are a buff color. Anyone know the name? Haven’t heard of them before, so maybe it’s just a trendy name for gold stars. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I called tractor supply, but the employee was clueless. And the chicks sold out so fast he couldn’t check.

Amberlink? Hens will be white with some brown.
Maybe an amberlink?
I think OP meant the chicks are a buff color.

Now, do you have chick pics?
not good ones, lol. That red light in the brooder does not make for ideal photo ops!

I can’t sleep, which means I started reading about these little ones. When we had a flock years ago, it was all heritage breeds. I didn’t know sex links had such short lifespans. It breaks my heart, and it will kill my kids. But what to do? They are ours now and I will take the best care of them that I can. But it makes me so sad.
