Is that all the same bird? The wet chicken is a boy.

That looks like a boy. IT might never crow, however. I have silkie boys that do not crow or make any noise at all at 1.5 years. Mind you they are not solo boys. darn sneaky silkies!

There is just a teeny bit of hope - at 6 months she may be at point-of-lay - that can make their combs/wattles turn red if it is in her genetics.

Other than that - it sure looks like a boy.. but I do have some hens with big combs.

for a girl...

Not happy about this at all!!! "she" was supposed to be the show bird!!! Since the entire silkie pen will be cleaned out soon, I don't know if I should go with your Polish, Deb, or go with Cochin pullet chicks!!! Decisions.

Did you get them from Shelly ( or sherry, I always get the name wrong) in Lincon? If so, that is still a very small comb for a boy from her, Ben might never crow.
