HELP my healthy flock is dying

How close are your neighbors? Do they normally give you grief about your chickens?

How do they feel weight wise? Can you feel their breast bone when you pick them up?

sorry to hear about your loss. sounds like something fishy too me. maybe the vet can take a blood sample and have it sent off somewhere.

they hate my chickens .......i have a 6 foot privacy fence they are healthy no colds nothing i believe he is poisoning them perfect time me gone 6 days .....he posted that note on my door so i just round uped all his nice little plants he loves so much

It definitely seems fishy to me. Have you dumped out their feed and cleaned out the waterer? If there was something put in there it could still be in there. Even though you add food and water unless its cleaned out there could be residual contamination in there.
Especially if they are still dying.
If they were poisoned it shouldn't take this long for them to be affected by it. It sounds like they are still being poisoned, if that is indeed what the problem is.

be careful with the round-up , make sure none of your chickens can eat a plant that it has been sprayed on .
word of advice , i would hold off on any more plant spraying , or anything until you have positive proof in hand of any action on his part.
just my opinion.
hope you canb find out what is wrong.
maybe you can move the chickens until it is worked out ? to aa friends /?

Check with your University Cooperative Extension service about having a necropsy done on one or more birds to see if they can find a cause.

If some one posted a note on your property, they are probably taking thier judgement and killing your birds. Confine them, do not let them free range until you find out who and why they are doing this. Get new feed and bleach your waterers. Also, look for puddles of water on your property and clean these out. Someone may have put antifreeze in them. A mass death in a healthy flock without outward signs of illness or injury means some one/ some thing is killling them. Put a sign up that reads KEEP OUT and NO TRESPASSING on your chicken barn/coop. Let your neighbors know you are within legal limits of keeping poultry.

So sorry about your chickies. I would definitely get some tested. A couple of years ago a neighbor of mine poisoned a litter of stray puppies on my deck (they couldn't even get off the deck) that I was taking care of because he was mad that a storm knocked one of my trees down and took out the power for a couple of days. He did it on
Thanksgiving when I was gone to my mother's. People will do VERY sick things.

This is the kind of situation that I just cannot wrap my head around.
What kind of person does something like that?

I'm sooo very sorry for you.

If someone is harming them and, if you can catch them they would be in very big legal trouble..

Good luck and keep us posted.
