HELP My Hen has not eaten or drank anything in hours

@TwoCrows Thank you for your response. I will look for a egg shortly. Although she is acting abit more like a chicken again and is starting to walk around again and her curiosity is returning and is getting her spunk back. aswell as her ferocious appetiet is returning. Thank you all so dearly for your replys it means so much for me as i am a first time backyard chicken farmer

So far i think shes almost fully healed and i will returning her to the flock tomorrow her tail feathers a mid to high she is more perky she is eating like a horse i notice that her water is down every day i go out to her i want to thank everybody for helping me save her. Thanks for the update! The symptoms for not feeling well in chickens are few. Seems like every they ail from can cause similar symptoms. Its hard to say what causes her not to feel well.

But I am glad she is feeling good now and ready to return to the flock! Introduce her slow over a few days so the others don't hurt her.

If one of our folks from colder climates want to chime in, trust their advice over mine.

When the temps are cold, so far lows here have been in the teens, my birds will fluff up and trap air under their down to help stay warm. Not all of mine do it, but some do. Whether that's a sign of "too cold" or not I think not. The same birds will go foraging after a rest on the perch fluffed up. Birds will also snuggle with each other for warmth.

When I raise turkeys, I'll put 5-1 week old chicks with the day old turkeys. This winter I see 5 chickens strategically placed each between two young turkeys. At night all you see is their tail feathers sticking up between the turkeys.
