I have a hen, named nugget, who I just saw throw up. I KNOW this is not normal if I remember right chickens don’t even have the ability to throw up. She’s a three year old Rhode Island Red who had a similar problem a couple months ago so I brought her to the vet with her having a runny nose and throwing up a cleanish liquid with very runny poop, the vet said it was an upper respiratory infection or a gut problem and she gave us an antibiotic for a respiratory infection which seemed to do the trick and cured everything besides the runny poop. I’ve given her a bath to clean her feathers but they just got dirty again a couple hours later. Shes still foraging, eating, drinking, still laying eggs and comes running when I walk outside. The only unusual thing is that I saw her throw up today. What could this be??

Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink. The crop should be empty then. If it's not, then read the article linked below.

It's that uncommon for a bit of water/fluid to come back out of the beak right after a bird has been drinking a lot and they lean forward, but it's worth observing her and checking her crop for a few days in a row.

When I felt her crop it did seem empty but I’m going to wait and feel it again at bedtime and then again in the morning to make sure it is emptying, I don’t think it’s sour crop bc there doesn’t seem to be any smell, but I’m keeping an eye on it
