HELP!! MY HEN IS WALKING STRAIGHT UP............

Thank you in advance for all who read and even give some type of response. My girls have been laying for about the last 4 weeks and have been laying alot more then we can eat. My best layer is Ruthie and she is a sex link and will almost always give you an egg axactly the same time each day. The last couple of days I have not been home to watch her lay, but she has been walking around straight up ( like she has a corn cob stuck up her butt). I have a feeling she might be egg bound, but I have never seen or had any chickens be like this. I am worried about her and need some help on getting her better.

I am off to church, so I will be away for awhile but will check back in a little bit.

Sounds like eggbound. That "penguin stance" is a classic sign.

Try putting her in a warm bath, this will sometimes help.
