HELP!!! My hens really bad off!!!

She’s pretty bad off. Having trouble walking her poop looks terrible keeps her eye’s closed most of the time and won’t eat oatmeal which up until today she went crazy for. I got her to drink some water off my hand and she nibbled some vanilla yogurt off of a spoon what should I give her?!! I really need help she means so much to me I’m positive she has water belly! I really need help!

We can't tell you what's wrong with your hen, but since she is lying in one spot with her eyes closed, that usually means a chicken is dying. No, it's not because of anything you did. Worm medicine is not a poison so it wouldn't make her sick. But if she had a heavy worm load, that could be clogging her intestines and causing her to starve. There is a treatment for this, but you would need to be able to tube solution into her crop.

Unless you can tube fluids into her, there isn't much you can do at this point. Antibiotics aren't called for as far as I can determine. Her problem appears to be an obstruction of some kind, grass or dead worms, maybe an egg. Get the calcium. It needs to be at least 600mg. Take one tablet and pry her beak open and shove the pill in. It will go right down the chute when you close her beak. If there's a stuck egg, this will help. This won't help clear an obstruction caused by worms or grass, though. Only a flush can treat that, and you have to tube it into her.

SafeGuard is very safe to use in case of worms. It can be difficult to pinpoint a cause of illness sometimes. Give the calcium with vitamin D, about 600 mg, orally. If she is egg bound, that may help. Give her water with electrolytes or a tsp of sugar to keep her hydrated. Offer some scrambled egg bits to eat, and wet chicken feed is usually appreciated. They can feel very weak and sick if they are experiencing a laying problem or soft shell eggs. If you see any poops, take a picture to post here. Sometimes when I lose a hen, I may not know what exactly was wrong until I open the abdomen or do a necropsy after death. I have found a number of different problems that way. I hope your hen feels better soon.

Been putting electrolytes in the water. Still won’t eat put gave her some yogurt on a spoon. Thanks for all your help hoping she will pull through!
