So sorry you lost her. With chickens, there are so many issues that can come up and very little we can do about it. We can take an educated guess at what might be wrong and try and help - some are easy, like coccidiosis, bumblefoot, mites and worms, (egg binding isn’t nearly as common as people on this board seem to think), but most are either a mystery or we don’t have a cure. Then it’s a delicate balance of being supportive without unnecessarily torturing the chicken as it is dying. It can be tricky. I have been more pushy with bad results and also less pushy with good results. Which taught me that it is really more out of my control than I would like to think.
