I had always heard from others on here that took their drake to the vets for treatment they were to keep the drake from mating for an extended period of time to keep it from relapsing. Ask your vet about that.

Definitely...I name the Drakes good names. Had Fabio and now another prospect named Valentino...![]()
Vet had said keep him separate for a few days and he be fine......that is what I did, but if happens again I will prolong time before putting him back again, Our Sassy would't eat when he was separated so that was partly why we put him in fenced goat area so they could see each other and not mate.I had always heard from others on here that took their drake to the vets for treatment they were to keep the drake from mating for an extended period of time to keep it from relapsing. Love it......we named one duck poppie only because we wanted girl/boy name because we were not sure of him being girl or boy......but he got curls on end of his tail little later then the other 2 males. I as not sure because he is sooo small compared to other ducks. Now we have to decide if we are going to try to get 2 more girls to even it out or swap a male for female. 3 drakes and 1 duck not good. Although Dexter is her man and 2 males seem to respect that. I do not want issues later down road.
Hopefully this will be the last time.
