last night a gift was sent to me and it was a rooster.
But their is a problem .. It hat a swallon eye . It could be a disease/tiredness (hehas traveled allot)
He is active and eating as normal..Some pics................
Looks like a white leghorn roo. If he's behaving normally, I wouldn't worry too much about the eye, unless there is wheezing or sneezing with it. You might want to keep him separate from any other chickens you have in case he has an infection. Try some basic human eyedrops and see if that helps him. Good luck!
Probably no one knows about these kinds of eye problems. Give him extra protein (I use canned cat food, but could be any leftover meat that's still good), give him raw garlic juice. If you think antibiotics would help, use them. Read through the forums and see if there is anything you can find from other users having eye troubles with their chickens. Just take some action and do what you think is right, that's all you can ever do with YOUR flock. Please keep us updated.
