Help! My Rooster tried to attack me!

@webbysmeme I got rid of a rooster because he was a jerk and would not learn. I have also had good roosters that Know their place. You definitely don't want to let him Know you are scared, he will sense that and will get you as soon as you turn your back. Please be careful. I no longer have roosters because I didn't want babies and my hens kept going broody seems like now they don't as much.
Thank you. I'm going out the door now to see what kind of mood he's in today. If he runs for the door at me like he did yesterday, I'll wait for my husband and let him do it. Just got off the phone with him and he's laughing at me! He didn't see what happened yesterday. Oh well, gotta get out there. Thanks again.

1. YOU are in charge, not him
2. DO NOT act or feel afraid. Be confident. You are the boss
3. Establish dominance. If he comes after you, gently (always gentle, never rough or mean, and don’t yell at him, he’ll take it as a challenge) hook your foot under him and lift, tossing him in the air (not high) and letting him land. If he doesn’t land on his feet, you’ve done it too high or hard. Continue until he stops spurring or walks away. It may take a while for him to learn that he’s not the boss anymore.
Good luck!

Stop letting him control you. Don't back off. Keep moving towards him. Don't stop moving towards him till he gives up the challenge and turns away and walks off. That's the body language for 'Okay, I give. Do what you need to do.'
Make it a point to always make him move out of your way, no matter what it is you are out there to do. And never turn your back to him.
Thank you for that. Someone else is replying too. I guess they think you are responding to a post of theirs.

How do o get him to stop
You are replying to folks that are giving me advise. It is making it very confusing. I posted" Help! My rooster tried to attack me!" I don't mean to sound rude, I'm sorry. I don't mean it that way, but they will think I'm taking my German Shepard in with me. I don't let my dogs near them. At least not yet. I haven't had the chickens long enough for that. I know the move was a big stress on them, they don't need to worry about dogs!
Again, I'm sorry if this sounds mean. I don't mean for it to.

Thank you for your reply. I'm going in armed today! I've cut me a switch! I read the article someone in my first post recommended in the forum chicken behavior. It was very helpful! Now all I have to do is get out there and start my rooster training!

Rudy was a hateful rooster. I would be doing my chores and he would try to attack me but I always met him head on and when he flew at me I would give him a right hook. That still did not work but then Mr Spot finally grew up and would protect me!! It got to where I did not even have to watch my back. Mr Spot is HUGE and i would hear this bam! Bam ! Bam behind me turn my head and Rudy would be rolling ass over head lol and Mr Spot would be in front of me like “ to get to her ya gotta go thru me”! Rudy met his end with a coyote. mr Spot is still a sweetie.

Someone else is posting in my place. I don't take my dog in with me. I know the move was stressful on them, they don't need a dog barking at them! Thanks for your advice and replies.

I think people are aware that they are replying to someone else.
Sometimes threads will have more than one conversation going on.
Sometimes 2 or 3 haha :D
If someone else has a similar problem they will often ask for advice within someone else’s thread.
I’m not sure of the etiquette but I’ve never had an issue with it.
