i have a flock of 10 hens and a rooster. i built a brand new large coop for them and enlarged the chainlink run by 10 more feet. while i was in the process of finishing the new coop the other day two of my speckled sussex hens excaped somehow, still not sure how and got attacked by a hawk in my yard. i tried to nurse them back but they did not make it. My fiance has been a wreck since this happened, she loved those hens. I am looking for either two speckled sussex hens, silver or golden laced wyandotte or any other black and white hens. they are my fiances favorites colors. I fixed where i think the hens got out, the chainlink slacked in one part while i was making it longer and there ended up being a decent hole under the gate. is there anyone in CT or RI that would be willing to sell me some sort of laying black and white hen to make the lady happy again?
