Help need advice about 1week old chick

Hi guys so my chick is now a week old(yesterday) I don't know if I'm over reacting or now.
Mom seems 2 be leaving the chick now for a few hours at a time, she does come back and snuggle up after some time.
Is this a sign mom is going 2 reject the chick or is she simply having some time 2 her self. When you go 2 go into the run mom is still aggressive towards you in protecting the chick.

Am I just over reacting? Do I intervene or simply just leave them be??

The hen leaves a week old chick for hours??? I would be concerned. At the very least I would probably set up one of those "mama heating pads" as the chick could easily get chilled and die.

Problem is if you do have to raise the chick yourself you don't want it to be alone, maybe you can buy a couple of other week old chicks of similar breeds?

Just a quick update I left chick with mam and let nature do it's thing. Thankfully I did chick is doing amazing mam is still sitting on it but allows it 2 roam around the coop. Chick is starting 2 grow and will be three weeks old tomorrow =)
