We have a petfinder.com mutt (which is def. part Nova Scotia Duck Toller). We got her 3 years ago and we got the chickens this year. She is so good with them, let's them climb all over her, and has even picked up when one of our four cats gets into "stalking mode" and will chase them away.
Although, today there was a stray cat in the yard so I open the door and say "Get the kitty!" and instead of chasing the stranger, she chased one of our cats who was just minding her own business
