Help! Need surveillance camera suggestions 🙏

I use the Vikeri 4K 32MP Trail Camera, you can get it on Amazon for about $60. It does fabulous day and night. I love it!

How high does this have to be mounted above the ground. Can it be adjusted to work at 5-6 feet high?

It depends on what you want to catch on your cam. If you want ground creatures, you definitely want to attach it low, for security (cars, humans, etc...) you can go higher. Mine is attached at about 4ft on a tree, I cut all branches and shrubs out of the way as to not set it off unless it's moving. It picks up pretty much everything creeping a foot or more off the ground. But I would attach it at 2 or 3 ft if you want to catch small things like rats, squirrels, coons, skunks. It senses high too, so you would still get higher stuff like birds or critters in trees. I use mine more for security than a Critter cam at the coop.

You also want to give it a SLIGHT tilt downward, it has better coverage that way. These cams are fun to use!

If you are able to connect to wifi, I would recommend Blink cameras (an Amazon product) as well. I have one camera in my pen/run and another in the coop. When I'm not with my chickens, I can go to the app on my phone and check in on them at any time. I have the Blink camera system all over my home/farm and have been very happy with it. Set up, for the most part, is relatively simple (the only issue I had was trying to set up cameras to my wifi extension--but I worked through that).

First it is nice to have you on BYC.
