This might seem like a silly question, but is there any way I can text to see how far the WiFi goes before?

You can use your phone or a laptop to test the wifi strength inside the coop, it wouldn't be exact but can be a good estimate.

If you really care, test it in some harsh conditions, like when you have window closed and there is heavy rain outside - that's when the signals can get weak.
