I bought a pair of Polish chicken from an unknown farm as they are the only farm I could get to deliver to my area and upon arrival I discovered the female to be weightless and has been mopping the floor with her backside. She doesn’t eat but has been drinking a lot of water, what can I do to help her? Also she has been pooping something whitish and watery(chalk like). I included a picture as it might help.

There is a problem obviously. Observe some more. I hope it will eat at least. so it can thrive. But try visiting the vet too. Best option ever.

Hmmm, she looks like she has Marek's disease. This causes chickens to become basically paralysed in the legs. Living chances unfortunately look quite slim. There is no cure at the moment too.😔😥 Poor thing. The reason why she is weightless is probaby because she can't really move to get food. If shes' drinking water thats ok. The white poop happens when a chicken drinks alot, but does not really eat well, which is what is happening. I understand this may be alarming and sad. If you want her to survive for a bit longer, put food and water infront of her and shove some seed down her throat. You do this by opening her mouth and slotting the grains in. Theres not much you can really do. Visit a vet if you like, they may give you something but I cannot guarantee that.😟
Prayers coming your way (and the Polish's😘). If you ever need chicken vet help, I'm here.
Hope the chook will be ok.:fl

Yeah, anytime I take a bird to the vet they don’t usually come home. After an injection or two they die, but I’ve often got very helpful advise here. Thanks

I’ve learned (from experts on byc) that if you grate a vitamin b-complex into a mashed up boiled egg and feed it to your chicken, their appetite returns.
Also, I didn’t know this but chickens have another opening in their mouth (trechea)
She does look paralyzed ☹️ poor thing
Hopefully she’ll live a little longer and she’ll get to know she is loved.

Were they shipped to you? How long were they in transit? She could be in shock from the trip, maybe sick, etc. I'd keep her inside, warm and dry. I wouldn't mess with her too much. Offer her water. Maybe set a bowl of wet mash[ chicken feed mixed with water] in front of her. Maybe try some boiled eggs.. Nutri drench is good to have for birds that need a quick pick me up.
How long have you had her?

Do NOT shove anything down the chickens throat.. just DONT.. that can cause the chicken to aspirate and that could be fatal.

You can if it is a live-saving tablet. I had to do it to one of my chooks. She was really sick and did not eat. I had to give her a special tablet to save her life, along with a few grains. You just have to be careful, thats all.

Can the pullet move her legs? Are her toes curled under? I would give her some crushed B complex vitamin tablet 1/2 tablet daily onto their feed. Or if you have a chicken vitamin with riboflavin (B2) you can give those in water or food. She might have a B2 riboflavin deficiency, but if she doesn’t improve with B vitamins within a week or so, she might have something else wron, such as Mareks disease or a bad injury. I would get her drinking water, give electrolytes if you have some and offer some scrambled egg and wet chicken feed. Are these your only chickens?

The white poop is probably from dehydration, but hard to know for sure. It could be several different things. Can you return the chickens? It would be worth doing even if you don’t get any money back. If she has something contagious, it could affect all chickens you ever have. If she dies, I would get a necropsy through your state vet just to know what was wrong.
