Help needed - Chicken with gunked up eye.

I suspect that your bird might have Tapeworm as well ( that may be why she is gasping. )
Just a guess though, I have never personally dealt with tapeworm.

If it's a respiratory infection such as MG then the gaping may be normal. My flock was recently infected and gaping was present in some hens. They had tons of thick discharge in their mouth and one almost choked to death in it

This morning I noticed our Silkie/Araucana cross was standing hunched up, on one foot, in the corner of the run. I've been keeping an eye on her today as this was out of character for her and have now noticed white discharge collecting in the inner corner of her left eye. Her breathing is also laboured and she's started stretching her neck and opening her beak wide as if trying to shift something.

I'm worried this could be a respiratory infection and was wondering if anyone had experienced these symptoms before within their flock and how you went about treating it?

I'm currently half way through worming the girls with Flubenvet,so I was also wondering if I should stop treating the poorly bird to help her recover or if should I continue with the wormer?
