Craigslist here in Oregon is no help, I'm looking for individual chicken values, no coop, and no supplies. @casportpony @Eggcessive at...oh dear. Who on here is good with pricing different breeds/some rare colors, all under a year. Anyone..?
My flock now consists of... I'll list them all later! The two I need help with pricing are healthy, friendly and laying well, a Barred Rock and a Mottled Java. Both will turn one year this Valentine's day. Thank you!

You .might post this question on your state thread. I see laying hens go for around $25 here in NorCal. Fancy heritage breeds sometimes go for $50.

So sorry you have to rehome your flock. :hugs I would sell them in minimum pairs. It’s nice for them to have a buddy they know, especially if they’re being integrated into another flock.
Depending on breed and age and other factors such as unusual colors, I agree you should expect to get $25-$50 each for laying age pullets.
If you sell them for too little, you will attract the crazies, especially on craigslist.
Good luck.😊

Thank you everyone!!
Well....since you asked!
What it finally came down to, is that I cannot in good conscience continue keeping my own flock of chickens where I am currently living. The landlord/very close neighbor has far too many roosters, and her numerous chickens are terribly neglected. The ground itself is full of garbage, bits of glass, wire, kitty litter & Lord only knows what else, random trash keeps cropping up in my yard, and the chickens eat it. I've lost 4 young hens here, two to who knows what (I suspect garbage/wire), and two to severe Since arriving, my rooster has been so stressed, by all the others trying to steal his hens, eat their food (did I mention the massive rat infestation?), fight, or just be obnoxious. When 20+ unhappy roosters start crowing, it sounds like...no, I don't want to give anyone nightmares. Trust me, it's bad. It's destroyed my own quality of life, and don't get me started on the hens. Half have severe rooster damage, caused by the constant dominance battles between multiple roo's at once. I've attempted to communicate, to care for, and even re-home many roosters. The problem is that her semi-feral hens keep hatching out batches of chicks. Lots of them die, from birds, cats, etc. Yesterday, my 8 year old found two dead baby chicks just lying out in the parking lot. He recognized one as a baby we'd saved a few days before from pasty butt. 😟
It's incredibly depressing. It's also completely unethical on both sides. 😞
My chickens came from a beautiful, free-ranging mountain home, and they absolutely where we humans don't even want to be around this dump. We've been camping, a lot. Sigh.
All but one are under 2 years of age, and almost all are really friendly. I'd previously sold groups of three pullets for $150, delivered and with a lifetime of free help/advice. There's one special needs chicken with a criss beak. Thank you again for your time and help. ♥️
I'm selling pairs at a minimum, but my 6 original chickens, including one sweet old hen + a rooster, they're under 2 years and very special to me. But scruffy right now!! I suppose I'm looking for guidance on pricing those 6 as a group (3 good layers, one older lead hen, and the cross beaked "pettin' chicken"), more than anything. The rest I'm thinking $75 per pair, maybe more for the rarer colors. This is pretty traumatic, and I'm having a hard time thinking clearly. 😣
i will have "yard kittens" (as my friend calls them), again! Once I'm in a better place. No clue when that will happen.

That's so incredibly sad to hear. :( I'm sorry your neighbor is so irresponsible. Have you tried calling the police non-emergency line on them? Not sure about where you live, but where I live they take animal abuse/neglect very seriously. When the police seize farm animals, they are often sent to a farm animal sanctuary until they can be adopted out. That's actually how I got my flock.

I think it would be worth a shot to try to help those chickens. It sounds like you have tried to help a lot already but maybe it's time for their animals to be taken away. I know it won't help their trash from going into your yard, but it could save the chickens' lives.

Around here (Ohio), chickens go for about $10 on Craigslist. Although I have seen more rare breeds go as pairs for about $50.

I wish it were that easy... The "neighbor" is my old mentor/dearest friend. If you look at my old threads, the story should be in there. She's so deep in her grief (traumatic grief, in her case), doing something like that would be incredibly traumatic. She honestly believes she's "taking wonderful care of her late Mother's beloved chickens"... 💔
The trash is also a big issue... After her Mother died, people who had no business being here started moving in, trashing the place, being general jerks, all that. When we moved here a year ago, I honestly thought my old friend wanted my help to clean it up! Big sigh. Nope. She's far too afraid of any change. (I went to school to become a substance abuse counselor, traumatic grief was something I'm all too familiar with.) Anyhoo!

Oh dear.

Please accept my apologies, I did not intend to go off like that!! Goodness. I suppose in a roundabout way it is relevant.. I've been feeding and caring for her birds as best I can, but at this point I just need to find a new home. 😞
Once I'm settled again, bring on the glorious chickens! (Hopefully sooner rather than later...)
I'm torn on what to do about the "PLC's" ("parking lot chickens") when I leave. 😟
