Help Needed With Hen

My 9 month old hen seems to have vent gleet and a problem with her crop... She hasn't been laying for a couple weeks now. Besides her physical symptoms, she is active and definitely not lethargic. Her nasty feathers near the vent and dilated crop on one side worry me though. She lives with a shy BPR who is consistently laying and does not show any of the aforementioned symptoms. They are on organic layer feed and have access to clean water 24/7. I free range them for around 2-4 hours a day. I have plain yogurt that I haven't fed yet but that's about it.

Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.

What do you mean by dilated crop on one side? Is it staying full? It should always be on the right side.

Yes it is on the right side and dilated means the crop is unusually larger than before. It's mostly staying full.

I believe the experts will tell you to go buy some Gyne Lotrimin and put some down the throat for the crop, and rub some on the vent area.

Can you take her to a vet? A vet could very quickly tell you if there is yeast or bacteria in the crop and/or vent. Many things can cause crop stasis - disease, bacterial infections and obstructions.

Not all gleet is yeast, and not all yeast infections produce gleet.

Yeast and bacterial gleet can look the same. FWIW, I just got done treating one with bacterial gleet.
