I am brand new to BYC and I need some help identifying these birds. My experience has only been with Cemanis and Turkeys so I'm a little confused by my 2 newest additions. I was told that the Americana is a rooster. i was also told that the other one is a new hampshire red hen. Both are 4 months old. Was I given accurate information by the feed store where I got them from? I just don't want too many roosters.

I see two Easter Eggers and no NHR. The first is a pullet, the second is a cockerel.

The "Ameraucana" here is an Easter Egger pullet. She has rounded hackle and saddle feathers. The bird circled in white is probably your New Hampshire Red... pullet if under a year old, hen if older than a year.

This EE is a cockerel. Dark red wing bars, long pointy saddle feathers and large curved tail feathers are rooster traits.
