Help- new chickens, spouse severely allergic to feed

Might have to ration it though if they don't slow down a bit ( maybe it's the novelty?).

I would guess it is the novelty...

(As long as they aren't raking it out of the feeder and spreading it all over the ground)

I would continue to free feed and hope after a week or so they will slow down.

Ok, will do. Im trying to keep track of how much feed they are eating. I’m happy they like it. They hardly touched the other stuff after a week, but maybe because when they first got here the backyard grubs and earth snakes were in such high abundance. Lol.

Wow, that is scary! So glad your DH is okay! Anaphylactic shock is no joke.
