one of my babies hatched around 11 pm last night in the incubator. This morning I noticed that there is a clump of something cone tend to a stringlike fiber oming out of what appears to be its little butt. As I was moving some out into the brooder I gently tried to just remove what was hanging and it appears stuck and that the little baby did not like that I did that! WHAT DO I DO?! What is it?! And how to I make it go away?! It's still there!!!!

Leave it there. Its your chicks umbilical cord, and it will eventually go away on its own.

Its very normal :)

xs 2...DON'T pull at it! Let it dry and fall off or you can cut it up closer to the "belly button" once it has dried.

Thanks! I just went to check on them and it's drying up!
