Hi everyone! I hope some of you experienced peeps(sorry for the pun) can assist!
I have 1 Australorp, 1 Buff Org, 1 Silver Wyandotte and 1 Rhode Island Red. ! LOVE these girls. I received them in June of 2015 as young pullets. It is now October 26th and we still have no eggs. When do they start laying? It is fall here in Charlotte North Carolina so any help you can give will make me feel better. We have then on laying pellets, and I give them scratch once a day as a snack. They are NOT free range. We let them out for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. They have a nice chicken coop and small run. I keep the coop where the nest boxes are nice and filled with fresh hay as needed. They are healthy, getting bigger...especially Ms Elsa (granddaughter named her after Frozen princess!) the Buff Org! We have NO roosters as our city does not allow. Sooooooo when should my sweeties begin laying???? I am getting worries?
Thanks in advance,
Gramzie
