Does she have waterbelly? An injury causes stress, stress lowers the immune system and chickens are already susceptible to so many illnesses.

Check her over all symptoms on poultrydmv.com

You can give her Tumeric and Ginger for pain and inflammation. Some Cinnamon may help with the crop issue. Neither are a cure, but it can make her more comfortable until you figure out what's going on and if you can fix it.

Thanks you for your suggestions I'll see what I can do.

Good news!! Pearl was a lot better yesterday and today she had her appetite back:) I let her eat a little bit of wet down all flock pellets and gave her some water earlier today at feeding time.
Yesterday I put a few pellets in her mouth and I did the same on sunday I believe. I also gave her a little bit of coconut oil with ground cinnamon and crushed rosemary mixed in to it. I was able to get very little of it in her though every time I tried the last two days. I think I'll try giving her some more of this three things again today. She's also been standing and walking a little bit Im keeping her in the kennel until I know she is going to be okay and not have crop fluid come up again.

I had some help from one of my younger sisters yesterday with cleaning a ton of poop off of her feathers around her vent. It was real bad I forgot that I had to watch out for build up of poop around there. We gave her a sort of bath and then brought her in real quick to blow dry her feathers so she wouldn't get cold. It was in the 40s yesterday so everything went well.

Here's some photos of Pearl earlier today.

The darker feathers were covered in poop and some of the feathers above them were as well. I've been close attention there now though everytime I check on her I make sure there's no poop stuck there.

She seems to be able to walk like she was before (not like she was before the sprain though).

Here's some of her poop from after her last night or early today. Eel or whenever.

What's the best way to give Pearl some Nutri drench? She has a hard time coordinating where she pecks so it would be pretty hard to give her it on a treat or food. I feel like she wasn't very interested in food this morning. Her crop hasn't felt full of anything at all today or yesterday as far as I am aware.

Pearl earlier today, she was just sitting not moving around much.

I was thinking of syringing the nutri drench into her mouth or something but Im not sure how to do that exactly atm and if it's even needed. I read about using a q-tip drenched in it but I don't know how that would work.
I would like some advice on this im kinda worried about her again. More worried than the usual but not as worried as I was when she had crop fluids coming out of her beak.

For now until I am more educated on this matter I'm probably just gonna try putting some on a Q-tip and try getting some pellets in her as well as some water and see how that goes.

I brought Pearl inside the house about a hour ago now (it 11:52pm as im writing this.)

I will explain her symptoms and what's all been going on with her tomorrow.
Here's a picture of where she's at right now. The cat carrier has a door in case anyone wonders, i put that cardboard in front of it for various reasons one of which is my cat and dog are in the room to and I don't want the cat to try sticking her paws in if she ever thinks of doing that.

Goodnight, Pearl

So Pearl has been sleeping almost all the time the last two or threeish days. She doesn't really seem to care for food or water more like I don't think she can tell where it's at half the time whenever she did want food and water.
She hasn't been walking at all, she's been pooping but because basically doesn't eat or even drink its not the way it should be.
Her comb has been looking okay color wise and she doesn't seem to have much trouble breathing from what I can tell, I've even listened to her with a stethoscope but i no vet or any thing so i wouldn't be able to tell exactly if something wrong based the sound her heart or lungs.

The night before yesterday me and my sister were syringing water into her mouth it also had nutri-drench in it, I was putting to much in her beak on accident. I am pretty sure she inhaled some water that day. She ate some food on her own a few days ago and hasn't really eaten since other than the few times we force fed some pellets by putting them into her beak.
Im thinking the only way she'll get better will be if we can use a gavage tube to force feed her. But we don't have any ravage tubes or whatever their called😭 I am going to ask my dad if he can get one today though so hopefully I'll have one soon and if I don't have one in time for Pearl than I'll at least have one handy for any other sick/injured birds in the future.

Here's Pearl in the cat carrier in my room. It about 70 in my room with the door open but at night when it's closed it gets to 67 and colder depending on the weather outside. I had a number of scares when she was in the breezeway acting like this there was many times when i would check on her and my heart would drop but then. I would realize she was still alive and breathing. I just hope she's not suffering to much i want to make sure she's as comfy as possible before she passes if and when she does.
20230118_113612_HDR.jpg

She kind of shivers or something, she trys to keep her head still whenever I try moving it, last night I put a little bit of water in her beak with a syringe, and she resisted quit a bit she didn't shake her head away but she was just holding her beak tight and she kept trying to push her head back towards the ground. I wish I could show videos of her but I don't have a youtube thing or any video sharing platform that I use and I don't think I'd be allowed to make one either.
Hopefully I was able to write everything in a way that you all understand what's going on. I am terrible at explaining things, at least I feel like i am half the time.

It's rediculisly hard to find the right information on things related to chickens sometimes, it's sooo frustrating, yesterday I spent about an hour trying to find information of aspiration pneumonia in chickens and how to make a gavage tube at home for chickens but I could barely find any results related to what I wanted.

Pearl passed away at some point after my last post. I don't know at what she passed I just she wasn't in to much discomfort there was no liquid around her mouth or anything so I believe she was just to weak from not being to eat it most likely a number of things that caused it.

I figured someone might be able to have a possibly better understanding of how she passed or something.
20230118_140942.jpg
We might cremate Pearl or something I would rather her body not sit outside in the cat carrier for to long so im going to try my best to find a way to take care of her today. The last time we tried cremated a chicken (it was a rooster his name was double toes or blacky he was an all black chicken) one of my older brothers who was helping get the burn barrel hot enough decided he didn't want to wait for it to warm up anymore or something and we ended up putting double toes in the trash. And I don't want to do that again.

I almost want to do a necropsy but I don't have the heart or whatever to do that and I don't think we would ever be able to bring her into a vet or wherever they do the necropsies.

R.I.P Pearl.
I don't remember when we got Pearl exactly but I know she was roughly 6 or 7 maybe older. Im not entirely sure of what breed she was either.
1-18-2023 I am going to say her T.O.D (time of death) was between 1:20pm and 1:40pm I'm not entirely sure as I said before not that the exact time she passed matters to much.
I hope whoever is reading this has a good day and if it's a not so good day, here's some :hugs
