Don't know if it matters, all, but the all black one has a black beak and all black feet.... Maybe another sex link chicken? Hen, perhaps?

no, If it was a sex link, it would have red/gold hackles(neck area). It's a Black Austrlop

I agree that my silky black chicken is a Black Australorp, after looking at many pictures on different threads here. I hope it's a hen, too; I could use another layer.

Additionally, I will check out the Meat Bird section here and educate myself in the coming weeks. Fatty's time is coming soon, and I hope the kids don't freak out. Heh.
