We recently added two polish babies to our flock, we were pretty sure they were both female, however....one of them (the silver laced) seems to have a mohawk. Could this be male?

Yup too early because if I have to guess now, I would say both roos, lol, but it really is too early. Ask us again in a few weeks.

Thank you for everyones opinion, I was taking a good close up look earlier tonight and the one with the mohawk looks like "he-she" has the beginnings of wattles (sp?). So I am thinking that lacey is probably a him.

at that age my roo looked like a girl and the hen looked like a boy after a few more weeks they looked totally different once the feathers started coming in more.

based on what mine looked like, that looks like a roo. But then again I've never seen what the baby girls look like. They are sweet roosters, just so you know!
