Help! One chick paralyzed partially & another injured leg

The little chicken in the link you listed probably has varus deformity. Many think these are slipped tendons, but varus or valgus (the opposite) are bone deformities. They may only occur in one leg, but when they occur in both legs, the legs can appear bowlegged (varus) or knock-kneed (valgus.)

Yes it does look like that’s as well, only for one leg. However a lot of her behaviour is like the slipped tendon. It’s so sad. Thank you for all the info and feedback.

Hi. We will be putting them together. It does look like Rosie has a slipped tendon because it is flat in the back. As well as she peeps a lot. I tried rocking it back into place but it may have been too long. I have been trying to stretch it out a bit to help her. But she is definitely exhibiting all the signs of a a slipped tendon https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...yone-ever-try-to-fix-this-experiences.879233/ from this post are almost identical.

May is perky as ever. Still growing and eating and pooping a ton! Lol.

I have started letting the adult hens, ducklings (who are huge) and the two healthy chicks together. So far a few minor pecks, but I’ve been watching and the pigs have been helping! Just not sure if we have pullets or roos.

You sure have some cute pullets!

It's good that you will be putting them together, chickens fare much better when they have a buddy to hang out with.

Rosie's leg looks like it's permanently bent. I hope she will learn to adapt and do well.
I wish May will start recovering and get back on her feet, she may get motivated with Rosie by her side.

Thank you for the update and photos, please keep us posted.

Thank you! They are so cute. When I come outside they pop their heads out and follow me around when I whistle for them. They also have started jumping up on me, when I pick one of them up.

The girls will be together and hopefully they may be able to recover, or at least be ok just the two of them, in the baby coop. We are keeping our fingers crossed! I will post more updates when things come up. Thanks everyone and YOU especially! This was very hard and a very difficult moral decision overall, for what is best for everyone. Because I want them to be able to have fun and have a good life. SO thank you so much again. I appreciate the knowledge and support A LOT :)

UPDATE:
Well Maybhas made a very full recovery. However, May is a rooster! Lol. Sadly out of the four chicks we bought, three are roosters. So I will be resining May because the rest of the flock attacks him.

Then poor Rosie hasn’t recovered. I am also hoping to re-home him to a sanctuary or somewhere that he can live peacefully.

If anyone is in Southern California, and is interest. please let me know.
