HELP -ONE OF MY HENS ATE A BUTTON

One of my silly Buff Orpingtons pecked a button off of my shorts and ATE it. Will the button hurt her? If so, what do I need to do to help her?

She will be fine. I have butchered chickens that had shards of glass, pottery and wire in their gizzards. A button won't hurt her.

As long as she isn't choking on it she should be fine. Chickens eat all sorts of wierd things. Generally, if it isn't poisonous, sharp or too big to swallow they're fine.
