Help!!!! Opened incubated egg too soon! Chick's still alive?!?

We've lost one...number three was dead inside the shell when I got up this morning. I feel terrible, because I know it was my fault. I accidentally slept through two of my alarms and wasn't there to move her from the heat or help in any way. Obviously, I won't be sleeping again until the other two are out and safe. My emotions are so out of whack right now. The excitement over chicks hatching, the depression from losing yet another one, the fear of losing the remaining...Who knew incubating could be so stressful??

These two seem to be fine. They cheep every now and then and move around quite a bit. Once the veins are thin, they'll try to get out, right? That's how I've been judging how much longer they'll be. Neither one has tried breaking through the shell (well, obviously the first egg won't have to). So I guess it's back to waiting and watching.

Yes, when mine tried to push out the veins were very thin. It looked like the chick was bulging against the membrane when I found it. I had checked it and it was fine, then when I went back in after fixing supper it had tried to push out and couldn't and was dead. I hope that my bad experience can help you save your little one!

Here's some updates on how they look...egg number 2:

Still a lot of thick veins. Her beak is currently a little higher than the middle of the egg. She hasn't tried breaking out yet.
And then here's our little survivor:

She is so talkative! She's been like this for the past...12 hours? Hasn't made any attempt to push herself farther out, so I'm guessing she's still absorbing the yolk and slowing down all that blood flow.

Oh,the suspense is beginning to kill me! They're both still peeping away but neither one seems to care to come out.

With the way her head is turned, I don't think that she is going to be able to push out. This looks alot like mine did!

How will I know when she's ready to come out? I'm afraid they both may be turned the wrong way.

She has less veins than mine did.... you might want to try peeling the shell back a little more, without breaking the membrane. You could probably pull the membrane over her beak a little more too, as long as it doesn't start bleeding.... I am not sure what else to tell you. I have only had that one experience, and wish I had helped mine more than I did.
