Help! ordered 7 show quality silkie babies...

I hate to say it, but it sounds like one of those "live and learn" experiences.

I just went through one of those with eggs I ordered (not on BYC). Supposedly reputable dealer...stalled on mailing the eggs for 3 weeks--which threw off my schedule of incubators, brooders, and grow out pens; got nasty when I complained; then the eggs arrived wrapped in paper towels !!!

Needless to say, half the eggs were cracked; no extras were sent.

I'll NEVER do business with them again

If I am allowed to tell the name, I have no problem doing so. Gonzo and I ordered from the same person. Personally I think everyone should know not to purchase from them.

I ordered mine awhile back and have already sold all of them, because the quality was only PQ and no where near SQ. Wish I had known more about Silkies, but I learned a valuable lesson.


If I can't tell the name on open forum and anyone wants to know, please PM me. We need to stop her from ripping anyone else off.

Gonzo & Elite---I don't see the problem with stating the name on the forum. As long as what you're stating are facts, you can't be held liable or anything, and it probably will help out the next unsuspecting buyer.

i am beyond mad.
i had my heart set on decent silkies. i knew sometimes they dont always work out as show quality, but dang nabbit!
all i wanted was my birds. what do i get? five dead. one half crippled, and one normal one.
i can barely see straight....
im at the point were i want to hurt someone

Here are a few that did live and what they turned out to look like. I do not have a picture of the slick feathered one, but I can get one. I gave her to a friend of mine, so I'll get her email the picture to me again. They are a far cry from being Show Quality.

But, I think maybe me and your Mom have something nice worked out for you.

This is the pair that I have, that I am waiting for the Roo to become old enough to breed her. But, we should be able to get a nice pair.
