I noticed about 2 days ago that my rooster looked sick or something. He holds his head very low and keeps the feathers on his neck puffed up. When he stands he tucks his head in his wing and partially sleeps. His is usually a very timid rooster and runs away from my other 2 roosters, but he seems like he doesn’t have enough energy to care about them now. His face is very pale too. We have moved him into his own little space in our basement with food, water, and a heat lamp. Please tell me what could be going on with him! I will post a picture of what he looks like normally and a picture of him right now.

Hmm. Sorry to hear that. I suggest taking him to the vet. Hopefully they will diagnose and cure this rooster!

He looks like he feels awful.
Good that you isolated him, but make sure he can get away from the heat.

When I have a bird taht is acting 'off' I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so I can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling. Check for external parasites or any other abnormalities.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.
