Well I left them alone in pitch dark room for 2 hours so the others couldn’t pick at th open egg & came back just now to a beak sticking out! I put a whip with coconut oil up to through the vent hole to moisten it’s membrane & the beak came out. So it’s still alive! Not zipping yet. Just beak there resting, no zipping chewing movements. I’m pointing at the beak with atop in photo.If it broke more shell off on its own, then it is likely trying to zip. That’s a good sign! There are often small blood vessels that don’t get absorbed, so a little blood is not a definite sign of impending death. I’d love to see beneath that membrane. Have you seen a beak yet?
