Thank you everyone for the advices! I've decided to not touch the egg, and am just adjusting the humidity and temperature for now.
It's been about 18 hours and the chick seems to be cracking the shell at her own pace. She has made small cracks as well as a little hole on the right side of the egg. She chirps if I talk to her and sometimes even pokes at the cracks. However, she seems to be cracking the shell towards the bottom (the egg is lying on its side, not upright). Should I turn the egg or just leave it as it is?
